What is this website about?

Textures.com is a website that offers digital materials. We have pictures of fabrics, wood, metal, bricks, plastic, and many more. These images are called “textures” and can be used for graphic design, visual effects, in computer games and any other situation where you need a nice pattern or background image.

May I use these materials for free? Do I need to pay royalties?

Our images may be used for free for many different types of work. For example graphic design, video games and animations. However, not everything is allowed: there are also restrictions (mainly on resale as a competing product). Please see our License FAQ for more detailed information.

I want to order your tiles / bricks / concrete floor, do you install them as well?

We only sell digital materials (photos of materials), we do not sell any physical products like real bricks or tiles.

The activation link does not let me login anymore.

You only need to activate your account once. When your account is activated, you need to use your email and password to login.

My login does not work, but the password I am using is correct!

Please make sure that you are using the correct email address, especially when your browser is using an auto fill.

Is it possible to upload my own textures to your library?

No, we are not an open marketplace and we are not accepting contributions to our library. At the moment we are working almost exclusively on our 3D Scans and Substance materials, these are all done in-house.

We sometimes buy Substance materials from artists, if you want to sell us your materials please contact us. Please note that your materials need to be of very high quality (equal or better quality that what we already have in our library).
