Premium Access Questions

Premium Access: What is the difference between the Indie, Studio and Corporate licenses?

We offer products with three different license types: Indie, Studio and Corporate.

  • Indie - a commercial use license for entities with less than $150k USD* annual gross revenue or funding.**
  • Studio - a commercial use license for entities with between $150k USD* and $10M USD* in funding or annual gross revenue.**
  • Corporate - a commercial use license for entities with more than $10M USD* in funding or annual gross revenue.**

*(or local equivalent)
**Includes parent companies, both by shared trademark or ownership.

The Studio and Corporate license offers additional benefits such as one-month credit rollover, access to Substance .sbs source files and support for Sub-accounts.

Content labelled as "Free" falls under the Indie license tier.

Do the credits roll over to the next month?

For Indie subscriptions (Starter, Starter+, Pro), the unused credits do not roll over to the next month. The Corporate and Studio subscriptions (Studio, Studio+) offer a one-month credit roll-over: the left-over credits move to the next month.

When your subscription expires the Premium Credits will be reset to zero.

How does the download credit system work?

To download content other than the Free Samples you need to purchase Premium credits. Click on Pricing from the top menu to purchase now.

How much credits does a download cost?

The exact number of credits is shown below the thumbnails on the download page.

The number of credits for a download varies based on the type of download and the resolution, so you can choose the resolution you need for your project. If you do need a higher resolution version of an image, your credits are not lost: the credits you have spent on the small version are discounted from the price of the larger version. This way you can test with small images before purchasing the full resolution versions.

Please note that some extremely high resolution images cost a lot of credits, for these downloads we will show a confirmation window before the download starts.

Do I get a login for each of my artists / What is IP Whitelisting and Sub-accounts?

Our Indie plans come with a single login, so all users have to share the same login.

Studio subscriptions come with support for sub-accounts. Sub-accounts are accounts that are attached to another account. These accounts will have access to the shared credit pool and all downloads that were already made. You can link only free accounts that use the same email domain as the main account.

Corporate plans also offer IP based access which lets you link your account to an IP address. This IP Address will automatically have the increased quota and any other subscription benefits. This way the main username and password does not have to be handed out to a large number of users.

Can I use the Subscription on multiple computers?

Yes, you can use the subscription on multiple computers at the same time. Depending on which plan you purchase, the subscription can be used by up to 5 users at the same time.

Please note that the subscription is only valid for one studio / location. It's not allowed to share a subscription with multiple freelancers or between companies.

Can I upgrade my existing Subscription to a larger plan?

Yes, you can upgrade your subscription to a larger plan at any time. You will get a discount for your previous purchase, based on how long your the subscription is still valid (so no value is lost). Your upgraded subscription will be valid for an entire year.

To upgrade your subscription please go to My Account->Subscription and click on Upgrade Plan.

How do I renew my Subscription?

If you have a Recurring subscription, it will renew automatically on the expiration date.

Non-Recurring subscriptions need to be renewed manually. You can renew your subscription 4 weeks before it expires, on the My Account->Subscriptions page. If you renew before the account expires, you get a 5% discount.

When my Subscription expires, can I continue to use the materials?

Yes, when your Subscription has expired, you can continue to use materials you have already downloaded (as long as your use falls under our Terms of Service).

What are the differences between the monthly and yearly plans?

Yearly plans offer more value as you get a discounted rate for paying for one year up front. Both plans will give you credits on a monthly basis.

I bought a recurring subscription, but I don't want the subscription to renew. How do I cancel?

You can cancel your subscription on the My Account->Subscription page. When you cancel your subscription, you will not be billed again. Your subscription will remain valid until the expiration date.

Is it possible to cancel the Monthly Recurring subscription at any time?

The Monthly Recurring subscription automatically renews every month, but you can cancel at any time. The subscription will remain valid until the end of the cycle. Please note that when the subscription expires, the remaining Premium credits also expire.
